Douglas and I took a drive up to Sauvie Island today. We stopped off at the Blue Heron Herbary and loaded up on plants, then sweated it out in the heat and picked a few flats of berries. What a wonderful way to spend the hottest day of the year.
The main garden bed, as it stands. Front to back: mesclun greens, lettuce, basil, peppers, tomatoes, brussels sprouts.
The back garden, under the cherry tree, is still a total mess.
